Huhtiniemi
The Huhtiniemi sporting centre offers skiing and outing, and an illuminated track. The Sports centre area also has a small, free of charge slope for beginning skiers. Huhtiniemi offers space for inside training in a private sports club.
Kimpinen

Kimpinen is the main field for football and track. Many national and international athletic events are organised on the field annually. Every summer an international athletic competition brings top athletes into town. The outside tennis fields and tracks are in active use during summer months.
Kisapuisto Sporting Centre
Kisapuisto is one of the city’s main sports centres with four ice rinks and an artificial skating rink outside. The park has parking for 1000 cars thus offering an ideal spot for fans of icehockey, figure skating, ice ball and other winter sports. During the summer months, baseball players occupy the field.
Lappeenranta Swimming and Sports Centre
The Lappeenranta Swimming and Sports Centre (Fin. uimahalli-urheilutalo) is the most versatile in town and offers space for numerous inside sports. Many associations in Lappeenranta organise activities and sporting events in the hall. The building has a 16 track bowling alley, a large hall for ball games, an athletic track, and space for judo, wrestling, boxing and gymnastics, rowing, weigth lifting and target shooting.
Myllymäki slalom skiing resortM
Myllymäki slalom skiing resort is located in South Karelia 30 kilometres from the centre of Lappeenranta. The difference in altitude of the slopes is 70 metres and the length 300-600 metres.
The area also features tracks for cross-country skiing. A total of 5 kilometres of the tracks are floodlit.
The downhill skiing resort has:
- 6 illuminated slalom skiing slopes
- 4 lifts
- children’s lift
- a hill suitable for sledding for children.
Etelä-Karjalan Liikuntakeskus Oy
Huhtiniemi area has a private sports centre for a variety of activities offering a possibility to exercise alone or in a group with friends. The hall includes a gym, exercise groups, tennis and various other ball games. Professional instructors help beginners and more advanced athletes with individual programs.
