The environmental protection tasks of Lappeenranta Region’s Environmental Office are handled by the Environmental Protection service unit. Environmental and soil permits make up the core of the tasks of the Environmental Control service unit. The service unit also handles control issues related to environmental pollution, littering and waterlogging. The Environmental Protection service unit also handles various tasks concerning the development and promotion of environmental protection.
