Achieving climate goals by local cooperation

The European Commission selected the city of Lappeenranta for the EU mission together with other leading climate cities. The cities selected for the mission will draw up a plan that will be implemented together with businesses and residents. The Climate City Contract of the city of Lappeenranta is a plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2030.

The City of Lappeenranta invited local organizations to collaborate with the city to achieve the climate goals. Close cooperation also strengthens the competitiveness of the region.
