Events and Programme

Lappeenranta Festival Weeks bring music, culture and community spirit to the historic Lappeenranta Fortress from late July to early August 2026. The programme features concerts, festivals, family events and open cultural gatherings. All events during the Festival Weeks will be held in the Festival Tent at the Lappeenranta Fortress.

 24.-25.7. Lappeenranta Wine Festival

The Wine Festival opens the Lappeenranta Festival Weeks. A two-day festival combines a wide selection of wines and other beverages, live music and delicious food experiences in the beautiful surroundings of the Lappeenranta Fortress. 

This year’s lineup includes Finland’s top stars such as Elastinen, Kaija Koo and Jenni Vartiainen!

29.7. Events for Younger Audiences

30.7. Ismo Alanko and Tinyhawk & Bizzarro Live Concert 

A Finnish poprock icon, Ismo Alanko brings decades of influential music and signature sound to the stage. A performance rich in character and depth.We will also be welcoming the duo Tinyhawk & Bizarro to the stage.

31.7.–1.8. Saimaa Punk Festival 

The two-day Saimaa Punk Festival brings the raw energy of Finnish punk  and a touch of international hardcore to the festival tent at the Lappeenranta Fortress. This year's lineup includes a mix of legendary names as well as rising favourites including: Pelle Miljoona, Rattus, Terveet Kädet and Millions of Dead Cops (M.D.C.).  Expect loud guitars, punk energy and a great atmosphere.

5.8. Sing-along by Lake Saimaa *

“Rannalla Saimaan” is an open community singing event where the audience and local choirs come together to sing. The evening includes choir performances, sing-along sessions and choir battles. After the performances, the audience can vote for their favourite choir.

7.8. Juha Tapio Live Concert 

One of Finland’s most beloved singer-songwriters, Juha Tapio takes the stage for an emotional yet powerful live concert. His beautiful lyrics and engaging performances appeal to audiences of all ages.

8.8.  Honorary Fortress Host Selection Ceremony *

Each year the City of Lappeenranta names a “Honorary host of the Fortress”. It’s a recognition for a local resident who has contributed positively to the city.  

8.8. Lappeenranta Metal Night 

A night completely dedicated to Finnish heavy metal. The live music event features major bands including Stam1na, Kotiteollisuus and Mokoma.

9.8. WilliGospel *

Willigospel is a free family-friendly event that celebrates gospel music, community and carries a religious message. Leading Finnish gospel artists will be performing in the unique setting of the historic Fortress.
