Ordering an inspection of an area free of wild oats
The holder of an area may order an inspection of an area free of wild oat once they have repelled the wild oat from an area that is in the wild oat register following the instructions or plan.
The municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority declares an area free of wild oat if the inspector does not detect wild oat during inspections of two consecutive years. The inspector draws up a record of the inspection they have carried out.
Even without an inspection, the municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority may declare an area free of wild oat, if pasture plants have grown in the area continuously during the previous ten growing seasons, an inspector has not found any wild oats, and there are no control instructions or a plan for wild oat.
Once an inspector has found that an area is free of wild oat, the municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority removes the area from the wild oat register and sends a notification to the area’s holder

Requirements
If the trader is established in another EEA state and provides services in Finland on a temporary basis, they are required to have the same permits as the traders established in Finland.
Instructions
Order an inspection of an area free of wild oat from the municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority in connection with submitting the application for area-based subsidies or with a free-form application.
If the inspector did not detect wild oat in the area in the first year, you do not need to order an inspection again in the second year.

The service is free of charge.
Deadline
It is advisable to order an inspection of an area free of wild oats in connection with the application for agricultural subsidies, i.e., by June 9. It can also be ordered in free form without a time limit.
